WE MEET AGAIN

The Monarchs face-off with the Thunder for the second time this season, after the Thunder took game one of the season series by a score of 5-4. Last season, these two teams met seven times before Jan. 1, with Adirondack coming away with five wins. The Monarchs went on to control the remainder of the season, and finished 10-10-0-1 including the playoffs, defeating Adirondack in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. These two teams will meet 11 more times this season.

SHARING THE WEALTH

Adirondack sits 11th in the league in goals per game, however they don't have a player ranked in the Top-50 in scoring in the league. Ty Loney, Eric Neiley and Shane Conacher are all tied for 54th in the league in scoring with 21 points. Manchester has five players ranked in the Top-50 in scoring and sit 4th in goals per game.

SHOW NO MERCIER

Thunder rookie, Pierre-Luc Mercier, ranks 4th on the team in points this season after recording three assists against the Reading Royals this past weekend. Mercier is tied for first among rookies with four power-play goals and 11th overall with 20 points.

STRONGER ON THE ROAD

Manchester's road power play has been top notch this season, leading the league at 25.8% when playing in their opponent's barn. The Monarchs have scored 23 goals on 89 power-play chances on the road, leading the league in opportunities on the man advantage. The Thunder enter the game with the 22nd ranked penalty kill at 80.4% on the season.
