WHERE WE STAND The Monarchs (32 pts.) enter tonight's game with Elmira alone at the top the North Division, one point clear of the Adirondack Thunder. The Monarchs sit second in the Eastern Conference, trailing only the Florida Everblades (33) for the top spot in the East.

GOAL DIFFERENTIAL

Manchester enters the week with the most goals scored in the Eastern Conference with 91, and are second in the entire league when it comes to goals scored, trailing only Toledo who have 105. Elmira ranks 26th in the league with 52 goals through 22 games.

SHOOTING DROUGHT

As a team, the Jackals average 23.91 shots per game which ranks last in the ECHL, 3.66 less than Rapid City (27.57) who is 26th in the league in shots per game. The Monarchs average 30.79 shots per game, good for 17th in the league.

SECOND IS THE BEST

The Monarchs continue to dominate during second period play, scoring a league-high 44 goals in the middle frame. Manchester has a +14 goal differential in the second, good for the best differential in the league. Elmira comes to Manchester with a -7 goal differential in the second period this season.

EDGE TO ELMIRA

Two of Elmira's six victories have come against the Monarchs this season, when the Monarchs dropped two games in Elmira a few weeks ago. Despite their standings in the league, the Jackals are one of only two teams to have defeated Manchester multiple times this season (Adirondack).

PENALTY KILL ADVANTAGE

The Monarchs have dominated the league when it comes to their penalty kill, as Manchester holds the top spot in the ECHL entering tonight's game with a 90.1% success rate killing penalties. Manchester has faced 91 shorthanded bids this season, allowing only nine goals on the season.

HOME SWEET HOME

After this weekend, the Monarchs will have played 18 home games and only eight games on the road. Manchester has played at home more than any other team in the league so far this season. The Monarchs are tied with the Tulsa Oilers for the most wins at home, with 10 victories coming at SNHU Arena.
