ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Friday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Orlando's Watling fined, suspended

Orlando's Patrick Watling has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #320, Orlando at Wheeling, on Dec. 14.

Watling is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 18:06 of the second period.

Watling will miss Orlando's game at Kalamazoo tonight (Dec. 16).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Toledo's Nightingale fined, suspended

Toledo's Jared Nightingale has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #317, Toledo at Utah, on Dec. 14.

Nightingale is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of a slashing infraction at 11:41 of the third period.

Nightingale has been recalled to the American Hockey League and will miss the net two games after he is returned to Toledo.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
