Head-To-Head - This will be the third game of the season between the two clubs and the first meeting at Allen Event Center. Allen took three out of a possible four points last weekend in Wichita with a 3-0 shutout win last Friday, followed by a 5-4 overtime loss on Saturday .
Swedish Sniper - Greger Hanson scored twice on Wednesday, scoring his team leading 12th and 13th goals of the season in the Americans 5-4 loss to Colorado. Hanson has 28 points and is tied for 5th overall in scoring in the ECHL.
Last Game - Allen rallied twice to tie the score, however Colorado answered both times in a 5-4 victory over the Americans on Wednesday night. Former Americans defenseman Matt Register had the game winner against his former team.
Welcome to Allen - Both Zach Hall and Randy Cure made their Allen debut on Wednesday night in the Americans 5-4 loss to Colorado. Hall was acquired from Reading last week for future considerations. The Americans also sent forward Alex Guptil to Indy in exchange for Cure and the rights to forward Alex Lavoie.
Streaking Chad - Americans forward and Co-Captain Chad Costello has a seven-game point streak to lead Allen. He also has scored a goal in four straight games. He is tied for the ECHL lead in points with 37.
One Away - Americans forward Kale Kerbashian is one point away from 200 points in his professional career. Kerbashian has two goals in seven games this season with the Americans.
Wichita Thunder Notes - The Thunder won two out of three at home last week beating the Missouri Mavericks on Sunday and splitting the weekend with the Americans. Wichita is led by forward Alex Loiseau (23 points), who is expected to return to the lineup tonight for the Thunder. Wichita is 4-1-0-1 on the road this season. l
The Family Tree - The San Jose Sharks are back in action tonight in Montreal against the Canadians. The Sharks are coming off a 4-3 shootout win over Ottawa on Wednesday . San Jose is led by defenseman Bret Burns, 28 points (13 goals & 15 assists). The San Jose Barracuda (10-6-0-3) return to action tomorrow night at home against Bakersfield. The Barracuda are fifth in the Pacific Division, seven points behind first place Stockton.
