INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - The Missouri Mavericks are back at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena tonight to start a three-game home stand by hosting the Alaska Aces. The home stand comes on the heels of a stretch where the Mavericks played 10 of 12 games on the road and went 5-3-2 in those road contests.

The Mavericks are facing the Aces tonight for the first of two meetings this season and the first of two at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. The Mavericks are 2-1-0 against the Aces all-time after taking two of three in Anchorage to open the 2015-16 season. Tonight is the Aces' first-ever game in Independence and part of a five-game road trip that includes stops in Tulsa and Rapid City. The Mavericks, meanwhile, are set to begin a three-game home stand after playing 10 of their last 12 on the road. The Mavericks posted a 5-3-2 record in road games over that stretch of their schedule and averaged 3.3 goals per game. The Aces have earned at least one standings point (4-0-2) in their last six road games and boast two of the top three scorers in the league - Peter Sivak (37 pts.) and Steven Perfetto (31 pts.).
ONE-TIMER
The Mavericks have held their opponents to two goals or fewer in regulation in two of their last three home games and have limited visitors to 30 shots or fewer in two of their last three home games, as well.
