Adirondack Thunder News Release

WHO: Adirondack Thunder (13-5-2-3) @ Brampton Beast (13-7-1-2) WHAT: ECHL REGULAR SEASON GAME

WHEN: Friday, December 16, 2016 @ 7:00 PM

WHERE: Powerade Centre - Brampton, ONT

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The Thunder take on the Brampton Beast for the second of three straight between the two teams. Brampton took game one yesterday morning by a 5-2 final, the first loss for the Thunder in Canada in franchise history. The third game of the series will be held tomorrow evening back in Upstate New York at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

THE LION'S DEN-NIS: Adirondack Thunder forward Dennis Kravchenko remained hot as he found the back of the net again in yesterday's victory with a second period tally. Kravchenko has scored in four of his past five games with six total points over the five-game span. The UMass-Amherst graduate is currently in his first professional season, where he has collected seven points (4-3-7) over eight games played.

ANDERSON OF A GUN: Netminder J.P. Anderson made his Adirondack Thunder debut yesterday as he entered the game in relief of Mason McDonald midway through the second period. The 6-0 goaltender turned aside 14 of 15 shots he saw in just over 27 minutes of action. Between Wheeling and Adirondack this season, Anderson has amassed a 4-1-1 record a 2.16 goals against average and a .927 save percentage.

BIG MAC: Thunder Captain Peter MacArthur picked up the lone assist on Kravchenko's second period goal, his ninth helper of the season. MacArthur, who has found the scoresheet in each of Adirondack's past four away games, is at a point-per-game pace over his past 11 games with 11 points (6-5-11) in that timespan. The Clifton Park native has 16 points (7-9-16) on the season, ranking third amongst active players on the team in scoring.

TY-ING THE KNOT: Thunder forward Ty Loney found the scoresheet again last evening with the other assist on Kravchenko's goal. Loney amassed six points (2-4-6) in just two games last week, headlined by a career-best four points (1-3-4) in Saturday's win over Norfolk. The 6-4 winger leads all Thunder players with 26 points (11-15-26) on the season and is the lone Thunder player scoring at over a point-per-game.

JUST JOSHING YOU: Adirondack welcomes defenseman Joshua Jacobs to their roster in advance of tonight's action. Jacobs, 20, is currently in his first professional season and has appeared in 11 games with the Albany Devils thus far in 2016-17. Jacobs was originally a second round draft pick of the New Jersey Devils in 2014, the third second round pick to join the Thunder roster along with Brett Pollock and Mason McDonald.

HATS ON HATS ON HATS: The Thunder have now experienced a hat trick in the team's last two games after forward David Pacan netted three goals in last night's Brampton victory. Pacan's hat trick follows Mikkel Aagaard's three tallies on Saturday in the 8-1 victory over Norfolk. Aagaard's hat trick was the first of the season for the Thunder and the third in franchise history, joining Ryan Lomberg and Greg Wolfe from the 2015-16 season.
