Manchester Monarchs News Release

MANCHESTER, NH - The Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Manchester Monarchs, and E&R Cleaners will deliver over coats to the Manchester Community Resource Center, New Horizons and The Salvation Army's Kids Café on Wednesday, December 9 at 2 p.m. The sixth annual Teaming Up For Warmth Coat Drive was held on November 7 before that evening's game against the Hershey Bears. E&R Cleaners contributed their cleaning services to the effort and have guaranteed that all coats are cleaned and prepared for distribution on Wednesday.

Monarchs' defenseman Alec Martinez and right wing David Meckler will also pitch in for the cause by hand-delivering the coats to the Manchester Community Resource Center at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

"With winter's full fury fast approaching, some members of the community need assistance staying warm during our rough New England winters," explained Monarchs Senior Vice President Cheryl Abbott. "None of this would have been possible without our great fans and the local community. Their assistance has made it possible for another successful coat drive."

The Monarchs will host the Worcester Sharks at the Verizon Wireless Arena in a 7:30 p.m. contest on Friday, December 11. Catch all of the play-by-play action of Monarchs hockey with Ken Cail on the Monarchs Radio Network WGAM 900/1250 AM and at www.manchestermonarchs.com.
