Worcester Sharks W6 Tribute Jersey Auction On Ebay

Worcester Sharks News Release
WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced that the Worcester Sharks W6 Tribute jersey online auction will run from Tuesday, December 8th at 8p.m. (EST) until Sunday, December 13th at 8p.m. (EST) Proceeds raised will benefit the Worcester Fire Scholorship Program and the burn care unit at the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The Sharks sported the W6 Tribute jerseys on Heroes Night - A Tribute to the Worcester 6 during their December 6th shootout victory over the Portland Pirates. The jerseys were worn to honor the tenth anniversary of the fallen six Worcester firefighters who lost their lives during a five-alarm blaze at the Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse on December 3rd, 1999.
The auction features jerseys from some of the Worcester's most prolific players and NHL prospects, including first-round draft pick rookie superstar Logan Couture and offensive defenseman Jason Demers. Sharks fans will have the opportunity to bid on the following jerseys through a link on www.SharksAHL.com through December 13th at 8p.m. (EST):
The following jerseys were game worn on December 6th, 2009 Heroes Night - A Tribute to the Worcester 6:
Logan Couture - 1st round draft pick in 2007; (9-12-21) in 15 games with Worcester; (1-1-2) in 11gp with San Jose; #2 rookie in scoring in the AHL
Jason Demers - 7th round draft pick in 2008; has spent most of 09-10 season in San Jose and went (1-12-13) in 27gp
Benn Ferriero - has eight points (4-4-8) in 9gp with Worcester; 22gp in San Jose (2-3-5); won a national championship with Boston College
The following jerseys are game issued:
Derek Joslin - AHL All-Star that has played in parts of 4 seasons in Worcester. Has three assists in 17gp with San Jose this season.
Frazer McLaren - leads Worcester with 52 PIM; has gone (1-2-3) in 13gp this season with San Jose along with six fighting majors.
Jamie McGinn - 2nd round draft pick in 2006; has five goals in 25gp for San Jose this season; Six points (3-3-6) in five games in Worcester.
All jerseys will include a certificate of authenticity.
