MODESTO, Cal. - While the 2010 season may still be underway with the Modesto Nuts hot on the trail of a fourth consecutive playoff berth, the club is always looking forward to the future, and is proud to announce its 2011California League schedule and ticket package line-up. 2011 will mark Modesto's 65th season, the longest tenure of any franchise in the Cal League.

For the second year in a row the Nuts will start their season on Minor League Opening Day with a home game Thursday, April 7. The Nuts will take on the Stockton Ports, their biggest league rival, in a four-game series, the first of 24 times the two teams will meet in '11.

The 2011 season will surely be a special one for the city of Modesto, as the California-Carolina League All-Star Game sponsored by Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel comes to town Tuesday, June 21 at John Thurman Field. The All-Star Game itself will cap off a two-day celebration throughout the Modesto community, featuring All-Star activities and fun for fans of all ages. Other 2011 schedule highlights include a contest against the Lancaster Jethawks on Sunday, July 3, as the Nuts will host their Independence Day Celebration and an impressive Fireworks Extravaganza the day before the Fourth of July for the third year in a row. The club will end its regular season with a four-game weekend series against the Visalia Rawhide starting Friday, September 2.

As always, the Nuts will play 70 games at John Thurman Field, and 70 games on the road, for a total of 140 games in 2011. The Nuts have announced ticket packages and prices for the 2011 season, all of which include a ticket to the All-Star Game at John Thurman Field. Ticket packages start at $82 for an 8-Game Mini Plan, and complete 2011 ticket package information can be found under the Tickets menu on the Modesto Nuts website, www.modestonuts.com.
