Jacksonville, Fla. - Cyle Hankerd drove in both runs leading a comeback effort for the Mobile BayBears (14-7) in a 2-1 victory over the Jacksonville Suns (12-9) in front of 8,669 Thursday night at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

Mobile reliever Jason Urquidez (1-0) picked up the victory after two perfect innings. Suns reliever Carlos Vasquez (0-1) fell in the loss, giving up the game-winning homerun in the ninth inning.

Each starter pitched well, but neither factored in the decision. Jacksonville's Jarrett Santos dealt six scoreless innings with only two hits and four strikeouts. Over 20 innings in 2009, Santos has allowed only three hits.

Mobile starter Matt Torra allowed one run over six innings with four hits, two walks and seven strikeouts.

The Suns opened the scoring in the sixth inning, when Matt Craig lined a single to left field to drive in Scott Cousins with two out for a 1-0 lead.

Mobile tied the game in the seventh against Suns reliever Jay Buente when Cyle Hankerd singled in Ricardo Sosa for a 1-1 score.

The BayBears took the lead for good in the top of the ninth inning when Hankerd belted a one-out, solo homerun to left field, his first homerun of the season, finishing the scoring at 2-1.
