Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp News Release
Jacksonville, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns have made the following transactions in time for the Thursday April 30 game against the Mobile BayBears:
RHP Willie Glen has been placed on the disabled list (right shoulder strain), retroactive to April 28.
RHP Chris Mobley has been activated from the disabled list, and will be available for tonight's game. A jersey number will be assigned upon his arrival. Mobley has spent parts of the last seasons in the Southern League with the Carolina Mudcats. Mobley was originally drafted by the Marlins in 2004 out of Middle Tennessee State.
In addition, RHP Kasey Olenberger will fill Glen's spot in the starting rotation for Saturday May 2. The rotation for the Mobile series follows:
Thurs. April 30: RH Jarrett Santos
Fri. May 1: LH Sean West
Sat. May 2: RH Kasey Olenberger
Sun. May 3: LH Aaron Thompson
Mon. May 4: RH Cristhian Martinez
The Suns have 24 active players, the Southern League maximum, with eight players on the disabled list.
