GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota United announced today the club will loan defender Callum Montgomery to San Diego Loyal SC of the USL Championship for the remainder of the 2021 season.

Minnesota traded for Callum Montgomery with FC Dallas in December 2020. Montgomery was selected No. 4 overall by FC Dallas in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. He started in 22 regular season matches for North Texas Soccer Club, scoring three goals in 1,958 minutes. In 2020 Montgomery was a teammate of current Loon, Dayne St. Clair, while on loan at San Antonio FC. Internationally, Montgomery was selected for Canada U23 Olympic Qualifying roster for the 2020 qualifying tournament.

Transaction: MNUFC loan defender Callum Montgomery to San Diego Loyal SC of the USL Championship for the remainder of the 2021 season.
