Charleston Dirty Birds News Release
On Friday, June 8th (rain date Saturday, June 9th), the North American Allied Fight Series (NAAFS) will be setting up its cage for an evening of electrifying professional fights featuring local and national MMA stars.
Two Professional Bantamweight fighters will be making a splash in your main event at Appalachian Power Park.
Strikeforce veteran, Billy "the GOAT" Vaughan will step into the cage for the 25th time in his career to take on 4x Bellator veteran, Bryan Goldsby. These two will lock horns in a 3 round fight that will put the winner one step closer to a Bantamweight Title fight.
Vaughan made his MMA debut back in 2005 and has since racked up 11 wins. ALL OF WHICH have come via stoppage (submission, KO or TKO). And 10 out of his 11 wins have come in the first round. He's been about as busy as a fighter can be over the last two years; this fight with Goldsby will mark his 14th fight since June of 2010.
Goldsby debuted in 2007 but has more experience in the cage, fighting 9 times more than Vaughan. Goldsby has secured 20 total wins over the span of his career, most of which have come by TKO/RSC. And his last two wins were for titles with other organizations. He's been in the cage with some of MMA's best, including Jeff Curran, Ed West and previous Bellator Bantamweight finalist, Zack Makovsky.
TICKETS FOR THIS EVENT RANGE FROM $25 TO $100 EACH, PRESALE AND ARE NOW AVAILABLE AT THE APPALACHIAN POWER BALL PARK BOX OFFICE, WWW.NAAFS.TV, SIMONSPROMO.COM, OR BY CALLING 330-280-8442.
