MISSOULA, MONT. - The Missoula Osprey (9-7) increased their season-high win streak to five games with a 6-4 win at home over the Billings Mustangs (7-8). Trevor Mitsui cracked a two-run double in the first inning to open the Missoula scoring and belted his team-leading third home run in the fifth inning with a solo shot to finish 2-4 with 3 RBI.

Of the 12 Missoula hits, five came in the first inning when three Osprey runs would be put on the scoreboard. In addition to Mitsui's double, Tyler Clark drove in a run off a single to give the O's a 3-1 lead after an inning of play.

After a Cory Thompson homer in the first, Billings tacked on another run in the second inning via a Nick Benedetto RBI single. The Mustangs would not find the run column again until the ninth inning with a two-out, two-run double by Shed Long. Will Landsheft would dig in though to preserve the Osprey lead and help Missoula reach its ninth win of the season.

Offensively, Justin Williams posted a 3-5 game with an RBI and B.J. Lopez went 2-4. A key factor in Missoula's win was timely hitting. The O's went 5-10 with runners in scoring position.

A crowd of 1,897 saw Osprey starter Gabriel Moya (2-0) pick up his second win of the summer. Moya would bounce back from his last start at Billings with six solid innings of work. The lefty allowed just four hits with two earned runs, one walk, and rang up six strikeouts.

Billings starter Wyatt Strahan (0-2) took the loss by allowing his first earned runs of the season in three innings. He gave up eight hits, four earned runs, one walk, and had a strikeout.

The O's continue their six-game homestand with Billings and Great Falls. Tomorrow's start time with Billings is set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets for all Osprey games are available at the MSO Hub Box Office, by phone at (406) 543-3300 and online at MissoulaOsprey.com.
