Great Falls, Mont. - The Chicago White Sox announced a roster move today affecting the Great Falls roster. Infielder Ryan Leonards was promoted to Low-A Kannapolis today, becoming the third Voyager to earn a promotion in 2014, joining lefty Jeff McKenzie and right-hander Brad Salgado.
A 21st round pick by Chicago in last month's draft, Leonards hit .333 in nine contests for Great Falls, driving in two runs and tying for the team lead with a pair of triples. The Crowley, La., native also is tied with fellow infielder Ryan Jones for the longest hitting streak by a Voyager this year with a five-game streak.
