Misner Collects Two Hits In 11-7 Loss To Cubs

SOUTH BEND, IN - Kameron Misner's two-hit performance wasn't enough in Wednesday's game as the Beloit Snappers (26-30) lost game two to the South Bend Cubs (24-31), 11-7.

Thomas Jones scored for Beloit in the first inning on an error by South Bend. Up 1-0, Beloit added three runs in the third to take a 4-0 lead. However, the Cubs posted four runs of their own in the bottom of the third to tie the game.

Misner singled in a run in the top of the fourth, giving the Snappers a 5-4 lead. After South Bend took the lead on a home run from Delvin Zinn, the Snappers plated a pair in the fifth on an RBI walk and a sac fly.

Up 7-6, the Snappers gave up five unanswered runs to lose game two 11-7.

Beloit's Top Performers: Misner was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, and a walk. Bubba Hollins reached three times in four plate appearances with a two-run double.

The Snappers face South Bend Cubs again on Thursday. Beloit is back at Pohlman Field for the final time on July 13-18th against the Quad Cities River Bandits before moving into ABC Supply Stadium downtown beginning August 3.
