
Misions Lose to Hounds in 12th

MIDLAND--The Missions paid for squandering numerous scoring opportunities and dropped the series finale Sunday afternoon in front of 3,270 at Security Bank Ballpark.
Chad Pinder singled home the winning run off Tayron Guerrero as the Rockhounds took three of four in set and dropped the Missions to 6-10 on the season.
San Antonio entered the game having stranded the most base runners in the Texas League despite being tied for the second lowest run total.
The Missions left 11 while going 1x11 with runners in scoring position. They stranded 38 runners over the last three games of the series.
San Antonio scored both its runs in the opening inning. They twice left the bases loaded, including the 10th inning.
The club returns home to open an eight game homestand against Frisco and Midland.
NOTES: Travis Jankowski collected a team season-high four hits and extended his league-best hitting streak to 13 games...The Missions have dropped seven of 10 after splitting their first six games
