MIDLAND--The Missions snapped a three-game losing streak while setting a season-high in runs and extra base hits Saturday night in front of 5,508 at Security Bank Ballpark.
San Antonio entered the night as one of three teams in minor league baseball that hadn't scored more than five runs in a game this season and they were last in the minors in doubles.
The Missions went up 6-0 before nearly squandering the lead on two separate occasions.
Diego Goris collected three hits while Griff Erickson drove in three runs to lead a 12-hit attack that featured four doubles plus a homerun off the bat of Alberth Martinez.
Jay Jackson worked two perfect innings to notch his first career save and snap the Rockhounds winning streak at four games.
NOTES: Travis Jankowski extended his hit streak to 12 games...Hunter Renfroe tied a Texas League record by striking out five times. The former 1st round pick is hitting .153 with 21 strikeouts in 58 at-bats.
