MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx released guard Brittney Vaughn today. Vaughn was signed by the Lynx as a free agent on April 21. Minnesota's training camp roster now stands at 16 players overall, with forward Kristen Rasmussen scheduled to report to camp later this week.
Vaughn scored 14 points in three preseason games for the Lynx, with all 14 points coming in her Lynx debut against the Connecticut Sun.
Vaughn, a 5-foot-7 guard from Arkansas, started all 30 games for the Razorbacks during her senior season in 2007-2008. She averaged 10.6 points, 4.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game.
The Minnesota Lynx will open their 10th Anniversary Season on May 18, 2008, against the Detroit Shock. The first 5,000 fans will receive a T-shirt courtesy of U.S. Bank.
