Lynx Staff to Serve Meals to Residents of People Serving People Tuesday

As part of the Minnesota Lynx "Ten Days of May-hem", featuring 18 events in the 11 days leading up to the home opener on Sunday, May 18 vs. Detroit, members of the Minnesota Lynx staff will serve breakfast and dinner to families in need at People Serving People today in Minneapolis.

SUNDAY'S LYNX GAME LYNX FALL TO SPARKS IN PRESEASON FINALE LYNX 105, SPARKS 106 The Lynx closed out its three-game preseason schedule with a 106-105 double-overtime loss to the Los Angeles Sparks at the Betty Engelstad Center on Sunday. The Lynx (2-1 in the preseason) trailed by six after three quarters, but outscored the Sparks 25-19 in the fourth quarter to force overtime. The Sparks overcame 34 turnovers by making 36-of-44 free throws (.820 percent), including 7-for-11 in the two overtime sessions. The Lynx was 26-for-39 from the free-throw line. Kiesha Brown scored 16 points and Lisa Leslie scored 13 (in 15 minutes) to lead the Sparks (3-0). Navonda Moore scored 21 points and Eshaya Murphy scored 19 to lead the Lynx. Nicky Anosike contributed 15 points and seven rebounds for the Lynx. Seimone Augustus started and scored 12 points in 22 minutes in her first game back with the Lynx.

TODAY IN MINNESOTA LYNX HISTORY On May 13, 2007 the Lynx defeated the Los Angeles Sparks in last season's preseason finale, 63-55. Thirteen players played at least 10 minutes, with 12 of them getting their name in the scoring column, led by the 11 of Lindsey Harding. The game was played in Baton Rouge, LA. With the win, Minnesota closed out it's 2007 preseason with a 1-1 record. With it's 2-1 record this preseason, Minnesota is now 15-13 all-time in preseason play.
