
Monarchs Waive Dionne Marsh

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., May 12, 2008 - The Sacramento Monarchs today announced that the organization has waived forward Dionne Marsh. The Monarchs signed the free agent on April 17. Marsh played in one preseason game with the Monarchs against the Washington Mystics and totaled 15 minutes, two rebounds and one steal on May 5 in Tampa, Fla.
The Monarchs camp roster now stands at sixteen, with 11 returning players, four draft picks and one free agent.
The Monarchs open their 12th WNBA season at ARCO Arena as they take on their 2007 WNBA Playoffs First Round opponent, the San Antonio Silver Stars, on May 17, at 7 p.m., PDT, with local television coverage on News10.
Following their first game of the 2008 season, the Monarchs travel for three road games before returning to ARCO Arena for a two-game homestand; they will face the Houston Comets on Friday, May 30, and the Detroit Shock on Friday, June 6.
