Mystics Continues To Trim Roster

Washington, D.C. - Washington Mystics General Manager Linda Hargrove announce that the team had waived Tamara James, Chandi Jones and Lindsey Pluimer. The following players are on the 2008 Training Camp roster:

Washington is currently 2-0 in preseason games for the 2008 campaign. The Mystics defeated the Sacramento Monarchs 90-82 and the New York Liberty 58-52.

The Mystics will host the Houston Comets on Tuesday, May 13th at 7:00 p.m. The team will also host a diaper drive with March of Dimes to go to support two local programs, Stork's Nest and NICU Family Support.

The Washington Mystics will tip off the 2008 season on Saturday, May 17th, on the road against the Indiana Fever. Washington will host the club's home opener on Sunday, May 25th, against the four-time WNBA Champion Houston Comets at 4:00 p.m. Individual tickets are currently on sale on www.ticketmaster.com. Season tickets for the 2008 season are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling the Mystics Sales Office at 1-877-DC-HOOP1 or by visiting the Mystics web site at www.washingtonmystics.com.
