
Minnesota Lynx Request Waivers on Four Players

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has waived forward/center Ashley Ellis-Milan, guard Brittany McCoy, center Jessica Adair and forward Vanessa Gidden, all of whom signed with the team on April 22. With today's transactions, Minnesota is down to 12 players on its roster.
Ellis-Milan started one of two games against the Chicago Sky in preseason play, averaging 3.5 ppg and 2.5 rpg in 17.0 mpg.
McCoy played in both preseason games vs. the Sky, averaging 3.5 ppg in 15.5 mpg.
Adair started and played in Minnesota's first preseason game, scoring 14 points with six rebounds, three steals and an assist in 26 minutes of play.
Gidden saw action in two games for the Lynx this preseason, averaging 3.5 rpg, 1.5 ppg in 9.5 mpg.
The Minnesota Lynx open their 12th year of basketball in the Twin Cities on May 16 vs. the Washington Mystics at Target Center.
