Million Dollar Participants Chosen For 'St. Hat Trick's Day'

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that the sixteen persons randomly chosen to participate in the third annual "St. Hat Trick's Day" promotion presented by the Reading Eagle are currently posted at the Royals' website: www.royalshockey.com. Under this contest, one of those lucky participants could win $1,000,000.00 at the Royals' game against the Toledo Walleye on Saturday, March 13, 2010 (7:05 pm).

Prior to the game on Saturday night, the sixteen participants will each draw the name of one Royals' skater, who will be playing 'for them' in that night's game. The first fan whose assigned player scores three goals-i.e., registers a hat trick-in the game against the Walleye on Saturday, March 13, 2010, will receive a $10,000 prize; the second fan whose assigned player scores three goals in that game will receive a $100,000.00 prize; and the third fan whose assigned player scores three goals in that game will receive a $1,000,000.00 prize. There can only be one winner of each monetary prize.

Also that night, the first 2500 fans in attendance will receive a St. Patrick's Day Lucky Hat courtesy of Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products and Lasting Image. During the game itself, the Royals will be wearing special St. Hat Trick's Day/Berks JazzFest jerseys, which will be auctioned off after the game with net proceeds going to benefit the Berks Arts Council.

The Royals return to action on Friday (March 12, 2010 @ 7:05) when the team travels to the Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, for the last time in team history where they'll take on the Johnstown Chiefs. The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will begin at 6:35 pm.
