Louisiana IceGators News Release

Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana IceGators will host Military Appreciation Night Sunday at 4:05 p.m. against the Columbus Cottonmouths. It will cap off an exciting week for the IceGators, who signed up just shy of 100 new Clawd's Krewe members at the Kickoff Party Sunday at the Zoo of Acadiana. Clawd's Krewe is at 1,350 members and still growing.

Anyone showing valid military identification, active or retired, will receive a $2 discount off tickets at the Cajundome box office. The IceGators are also offering "civilian" discounts, as anyone bringing in an American flag to the box office will also get $2 off tickets.

Staff Sergeant Gery Ryan of the U.S. Army will sing the national anthem Sunday, while a ceremonial puck drop will also include personnel from different military branches, including those who served in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Army will also provide a color guard during the national anthem.

Clawd's Krewe signed up nearly 100 new members at the Zoo on Sunday, moving the Kids Club's total membership to 1,350. Sign-ups for the FREE Kids Club are still available at www.icegators.com. Those who signed up Sunday, along with others who have not yet received their T-shirts and lanyards, can pick those items up at Clawd's Krewe Corner, behind section 201 at any IceGators game.

Individual tickets for all games, starting at just $10 for adults and $9 for kids (ages 2-12 in any level), are now on sale at the Cajundome Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets. Full season ticket packages, half season plans and Ice Packs are still on sale and can be purchased by calling (337) 234-4423.
