
Florida's Van Buskirk Suspended Five Games

PRINCETON, N.J. â The ECHL announced on Tuesday that it has suspended Florida defenseman Ryan Van Buskirk for five games as a result of his actions in ECHL Game # 91 vs. Gwinnett on November 1.
At 1:50 of the overtime period, Van Buskirk was assessed a match penalty for elbowing under Rule 52 Deliberate Injury of Opponents.
Van Buskirk is suspended under Rule 33(a) Supplementary Discipline for a high hit to the head that resulted in an injury to an opposing player.
Van Buskirk will miss Florida's game at Las Vegas (Nov. 4), at Long Beach (Nov. 5), at San Diego (Nov. 7 and 8), and at Bakersfield (Nov. 9).
