The New York Mets today announced that they have selected the contract of Bisons INF IKE DAVIS prior to Buffalo's 1:05 p.m. game against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.
Davis, 23, hit .364 (12-33) with three doubles, two home runs and four RBI in 10 games with the Bisons. He also drew nine walks and ranked tied for best on-base percentage in the International League (.500). Davis reached base twice in every game for the Bisons but their April 13 contest in Syracuse.
Davis leaves the Bisons on a seven-game hit streak. Since April 11, Davis has averaged .348 (8-23) with six runs scored.
