
Mets Recall Bisons RHP Jeremy Hefner

The New York Mets today announced they have recalled RHP JEREMY HEFNER from the Buffalo Bisons. Hefner is active for the Mets in their Saturday afternoon game against the Dodgers at Citi Field.
Hefner is making his third stint with the Mets, having been recalled April 23 for one game and then again from May 19 to July 4. In 11 total appearances (three starts) with New York, the righty is 1-3 with a 5.64ERA and 17 strikeouts in 30.1 innings of work.
With Buffalo, Hefner is 5-2 with a 2.77ERA in 10 games and nine starts this season. He last threw for the Herd on Tuesday and allowed just one run in seven innings of a 17-1 win over the Toledo Mud Hens. On the season, Hefner has thrown six 'quality starts' in his nine starts with Buffalo.
