Louisville scored all its runs in the bottom of the sixth on Saturday evening, blanking the PawSox 4-0 in Kentucky.
Newcomer Todd Redmond fired 7 scoreless innings at Pawtucket (56-46). Tony Pena (1-8) absorbed the loss despite allowing one hit over his first five innings of work. The Bats got a three run homer from shortstop Didi Gregorius to break the scoreless tie.
Pawtucket managed eight hits. Lars Anderson had three and Che-Hsuan Lin had a pair.
The series continues Sunday at 6:05 p.m. Lefty Chris Hernandez makes his PawSox debut.
