
Mets Aiding Orlando Relief on Thursday

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The St. Lucie Mets will host Unity Night at Tradition Field on Thursday in an effort to contribute to Orlando relief efforts in the wake of Sunday's tragedy.
The Mets play the Jupiter Hammerheads at 6:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Fans are invited to join St. Lucie Mets staff and players on the field prior to the game for a Ring of Unity ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. A Mets team chaplain will lead with prayer.
Before entering Tradition Field, fans are encouraged to stop by the OneBlood Donation buses in front of the stadium to give blood. The buses will be on site from 4-9 p.m. Anyone who donates blood will receive two free tickets to the game.
St. Lucie County Sheriffs Explorers will accept donations from fans as they enter the gates. Also, a portion of the ticket revenue will be donated to Orlando relief efforts.
A moment of silence will be held prior to first pitch.
