Memphis Hustle Fall to Texas Legends 139-129 in First of Two-Game Series

Southaven, Miss. - The Memphis Hustle, the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, fell to the Texas Legends 139-129 on Tuesday in the first matchup of a home back-to-back set at Landers Center.

Tyler Dorsey led the Legends with 39 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Grant Riller followed with 30 points and five rebounds, while Tyler Hall posted 22 points and eight rebounds. Yudai Baba finished with 14 points, and Mouhamadou Gueye added 12 points and six rebounds off the bench.

Matthew Hurt and Dakota Mathias both posted season-high scores, leading the Hustle with 27 points each. Romeo Weems followed with 17 points and eight rebounds off the bench, while Sean McDermott and EJ Onu added 15 points each. Terrell Brown Jr. posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists off the bench in his season debut.

Despite cutting what was a 26-point deficit to eight points in the fourth quarter, the Hustle couldn't overcome the Legends' 57.1% percentage from 3-point range.

Texas led Memphis 70-56 at the half and scored 48 points in the third quarter to take a 118-93 advantage going into the final quarter.

The Hustle will rematch the Texas Legends at Landers Center on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. CT.
