Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact held its first ever Members' Council meeting on February 18, at Stade Saputo. For the occasion, the 15 season ticket holders who make up the council were on hand to discuss with management several issues that affect them.
Hosted in the players' locker room by Executive Vice-President Richard Legendre, discussions were held on the breakdown of the council's mandate for the next few months and the procedure with which it will work.
It was determined that the council's role throughout the season will be to have discussion with other members, collecting their comments and suggestion and sort them out before presenting them to the club. The Impact will then expound on decisions made.
Impassioned discussions covered topics from seniority of members, increasing membership, exclusive content for season ticket holders, presentation of more information about the Academy, in-game experience at Stade Saputo and food concessions.
"We are very pleased with this first meeting where discussions were passionate and very constructive," said Richard Legendre. "The council came prepared with a number of ideas. We must take the time now to properly study each of the elements discussed, then share our decisions with the council."
