
Chris Korb Undergoes Knee Surgery

Washington, D.C. (March 5, 2014) - D.C. United today announced that defender Chris Korb has undergone surgery on his left knee. Dr. Ken Fine of The Orthopedic Center in Washington, D.C., performed an arthroscopic procedure to repair an articular cartilage in the knee. He is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.
Korb, a University of Akron product, was a mainstay at the outside back position in 2013. The defender set career highs in games played (30), games started (30), minutes (2,700) and shots (12). Since signing with United in 2011, Korb has started 64 of the 68 games in which he featured. The defender has logged a total of 5,771 minutes since being selected 31st overall in the 2011 MLS Superdraft.
