
Meet the 2021 Kingfish All Stars

This year's All Star Game is set to take place on Tuesday, July 20 in Mankato, Minnesota. The Kenosha Kingfish have the most All Star selections out of any team in the entire Northwoods League this year with five.
Mckay Barney
Mckay Barney (University of Washington) was the sole outfielder from the Kingfish to be selected for the All Star Game. In the first half of the season, Barney hit .325 with 20 walks and 13 RBIs. Barney also stole 21 bases, the most out of any Kingfish on the team. Barney tied with teammate Kirk Liebert in most games played of any Kingfish in the first half, appearing in 31 of 34 games.
Justin Janas
Big 10 batting champion Justin Janas (University of Illinois) finished the first half of the season in the top three in the Northwoods League for batting average at .396. He drove in 19 runs while crossing the plate 11 times. He also drew 13 walks and had the second-best on-base percentage in the league at .487. He is the only first baseman from the Great Lakes Division selected for this year's All Star Game.
Cam Redding
Cam Redding (St. Louis University) is one of two Kingfish catchers to be selected for the All Star Game. He finished the first half of the season batting .358 and led the Northwoods League in RBIs with 32. Redding crossed the plate 20 times and walked 14 times. Redding hit 12 extra-base hits with nine doubles, a triple and two home runs. The Kingfish are the only team in the Great Lakes Division to have catchers selected for the All Star Game.
Kirk Liebert
Kirk Liebert (University of Kentucky) is the second of two Kingfish catchers to be selected for the All Star Game. For the majority of the first half of the season, Liebert led the Northwoods League in batting average, ultimately concluding the first half batting .350. Liebert was second to only his teammate Cam Redding in RBIs, driving in 30 in the first half of the season. He drew 23 walks and produced 16 extra-base hits: 10 doubles, three triples and three home runs.
Brock Weirather
Brock Weirather (University of Richmond) is the only Kingfish pitcher selected for the All Star Game. At the conclusion of the first half of the season, Weirather had the best ERA of any pitcher in the Northwoods League at 0.95 in 38 innings pitched. He gave up seven runs, four of which were earned and walked eight while striking out 18.
