(Reading, PA) -- Larry Bowa, who was inducted into the Reading Baseball Hall-of-Fame in 1988, will join this year's inductees for a special night at FirstEnergy Stadium on Thursday, July 21. The former Phillies great will be on-hand to meet and greet fans and sign free autographs.

Tickets for Thursday's 7:05 p.m. contest are still available, and fans can call 610-370-BALL, log-on to readingphillies.com, or stop by the brand new R-Phils ticket office, located at FirstEnergy Stadium, to purchase tickets.

VIST Financial Plaza gates are set to open at 5:00 p.m. and the R-Phils will face the Binghamton Mets (Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets) in game one of a four-game series. Fans 21-years-old and older can enjoy Happy Hour (5:00-6:00 p.m.) with $1 off all beers, thanks to Miller Lite. All fans can enjoy the sounds of Alligator Blues, during a special pre-game concert on the Weston Center Winning Smiles Stage (5:00-6:30 p.m.).

Bowa, a native of Sacramento, CA, made his Baseballtown debut in 1967 and appeared in 22 games for the Reading Phillies that season. He spent the 1968 in Baseballtown as well, and appeared in 133 games for the club that year, before going on to a successful 16-year Major League career.

Among his accomplishments, Bowa was a member of the 1980 World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies. He hit .316 during the 1980 NLCS, and added a .375 batting average in the World Series, to help lead Philadelphia to their first-ever World Series win. He is also a five-time All-Star, a two-time Gold Glove award-winner, and led the National League in fielding percentage six times.
