Tonight, the SeaWolves return home, beginning a seven-game homestand and a four-game series against the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) at Jerry Uht Park. The SeaWolves suffered a tough, one-run loss on Wednesday in Trenton in a game that saw the 'Wolves lose leads of 9-3 and 12-10. The loss dropped the SeaWolves back to their low-water mark of five games under .500...The SeaWolves and Aeros have played 11 games of the 19 game season series with the home team dominating. The SeaWolves are 5-2 against the Aeros at home while they are just 1-3 at Canal Park...Tonight, righty L.J. Gagnier takes the mound for Erie making his 11th start and second since returning from Triple-A Toledo. Tonight is his first start against the Aeros...Gagnier took a no-decision in his last start against Altoona on July 16. In the game, he allowed three runs on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts in six innings of work. Erie lost the game 11-8...LHP T.J. McFarland takes the mound for the Aeros making his 17th start and third against the SeaWolves. He is 0-1 in two starts against Erie. McFarland picked up a win in his last start against Harrisburg on July 16. In the game, he allowed three runs on six hits with two walks and a strikeout...As a team, the SeaWolves are hitting .294 over their last 10 games and .320 over the last five. Rawley Bishop is hitting .342 (13x38) while Audy Ciriaco is hitting .341 (14x41) over the last 10 games. Bishop had an eight-game hitting streak snapped yesterday.
