Mechanics To Host Charity Game

Fraser, MI – The Motor City Mechanics are gearing up to host the 1st Annual Guns vs. Hoses charity hockey game on Friday, January 28th, 2005.

The charity hockey game, which will begin at 5:00 pm, will benefit the Macomb County Sheriff's Department and the Fraser Fire Department. Law enforcement officials will be playing to benefit the Macomb County Sheriff's Department Honor Guard, while the Fire Department will also be playing to aid their Honor Guard. $3 for every ticket sold through each department will support their respective charity.

The Guns vs. Hoses game will be immediately followed by the Motor City Mechanics battling the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the Mechanics game will also be valid for entry into the Guns vs. Hoses charity game. January 28th is Police and Firefighter Appreciation Night at The Garage and the first 1,000 fans will receive a pair of Mechanics ThunderStix.

"We are very excited to host Macomb's finest," Mechanics President John Tull said. "We look forward to making this a tradition."
