FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics return to action tonight when the Quad City Mallards make their first visit to "the Garage," tonight is also a souvenir pennant giveaway night presented by Christian Financial Credit Union, WYCD 99.5 and Comcast.
The Mechanics come home after defeating the Rockford IceHogs last night in a shootout 5-4. The Mechanics took the lead early and then traded goals with the IceHogs until late when the Mechanics tied the game with 51 seconds remaining in regulation. Adam Edinger and Matt Smith both scored in the shootout while Rod Branch blanked the IceHogs.
Quad City comes into tonight's game after winning last night at home against the Missouri River Otters. The Mallards won 5-2 against the River Otters, thus making it two straight and six wins in their last 10 games.
The Mechanics return to action on Thanksgiving when they travel to face the Muskegon Fury on Thursday and then the Flint Generals on Friday. The Mechanics return home Saturday the 26th to face the Kalamazoo Wings. Saturday is also a team photo giveaway presented by Millennium Family Dental and 106.7 The Drive.
