Mechanics pre-season ticket on sale

FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics, proud members of the United Hockey League (UHL) are pleased to announce that pre-season tickets to the game against the Muskegon Fury are now on sale!

The pre-season game is scheduled to be played on October 13th at 7:30 p.m. at the Troy Sports Center. Tickets can be purchased for just $10.00 at the Mechanics office or at the Troy Sports Center from now until the game time; all tickets are general admission.

Proceeds from the game will benefit the Clark Park Hockey Kids in Southwest Detroit. Clark Park is located off of Interstate 75 and operates Detroit's only outdoor ice rink. The Clark Park Coalition, an organization established in 1991 to keep up the park and help fund youth activity programs supports more than 100 youth hockey players with the program.

Troy Sports Center is donating the ice time for the event and there will be a post game meet the Mechanics party at Joe Kool's Sports Bar; both the Troy Sports Center and Joe Kool's are located at 1819 E. Big Beaver Rd. in Troy, Michigan.

Fans will get their chance to meet the Mechanics and watch former Mechanics players Chris Chelios and Sean Avery play with their respective teams as the Detroit Red Wings take on the Los Angeles Kings at 10:35 p.m.

The Mechanics open the 2005-06 season October 21st when they visit the Missouri River Otters and come join the Mechanics for opening weekend when they face off against the Kalamazoo Wings on Friday October 28th, and the Port Huron Flags on Saturday October 29th.

Every fan that enters the Garage on October 28th will receive a complimentary opening night collectible game puck sponsored by McDonald's. Opening night is also a youth hockey celebration as all youth teams are encouraged to come join the fun and participate in the first intermission team parade, and meet McDonald's own, Ronald McDonald!
