Rockford IceHogs News Release

Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs General Manager Ryan Washatka, in conjunction with Maverick Media Market Manager J Chapman, announced Thursday that 1330 AM, WNTA will once again serve as the IceHogs flagship radio station for the 2005-06 season. All 76 regular season and all additional playoff games will be broadcast live on the Maverick Media station.

The '05-06 season marks the third straight season in which Maverick Media, formerly RadioWorks, will be the radio home of the Hogs, and second straight season in which WNTA will sound as the flagship station.

"We've established a great partnership with WNTA and RadioWorks and are excited to continue the relationship with Maverick Media," said Washatka. "Anytime there is a change in ownership, the dynamics of a business sometimes change. We appreciate that Maverick Media sees the value of their partnership with the IceHogs and look forward to building and strengthening it for many years to come."

IceHogs fans can also listen and watch the Hogs on-line this season. All of the IceHogs broadcasts will be streamed on the IceHogs official team web-site, icehogs.com through the B2 Network and WNTA. B2 will also offer live video coverage of every IceHogs home and away game for only $6 through the IceHogs web-site.

"There's been a long history between our radio stations and the IceHogs and because of the tremendous fan support that the IceHogs have had over the past several years we are excited to be involved once again," said Chapman. "The IceHogs enjoyed tremendous popularity last year and we know this will bring great value and new listeners to our radio stations."

The IceHogs will continue to work with WNTA's sister stations 104.9 FM, WXRX, 95.3 FM, WYHY and 103.1 FM WGFB with promotions throughout the new season. WXRX's Jim Stone and Double T will also once again host the IceHogs weekly talk show "HogTalk" at a site and time to be determined.
