
Mechanics end week with a 4-1 win over the Jackals

FRASER, MI-Four unanswered goals key to the Mechanics 4-1 win tonight over the Elmira Jackals at the Great Lakes Sports City in front of 2,029 fans.
After a scoreless first period of play both the Jackals and Mechanics dug deep and finally provided the fans something to cheer about. Former Mechanic, Konstantin Kalmikov scored first to give the Jackals an early 1-0 lead, however, the Mechanics responded just 40 seconds later when Peter Szabo found the back of the net.
From there on out the Mechanics scored three more goals including a late empty net goal to seal the game. Tom Kotsopoulos netted the game-winner at 6:40 of the third period.
Rod Branch made his 60th appearance of the year and made 29 saves for his franchise setting 32nd win of the season. Last season Branch won 31 games for the Mechanics during the inaugural season.
The Mechanics take on the Fort Wayne Komets this coming Wednesday at 7:30. Wednesday is also ladies night as all ladies can get in for just $5!
