Motor City Mechanics News Release

FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics of the United Hockey League (UHL) are gearing up to face the Port Huron Flags in a home and home series to finish out the 2005-06 regular season schedule.

The Mechanics face the Flags tonight in Port Huron and then finish the season tomorrow at home in Fraser against the Flags. Both games are set to face-off at 7:30 PM.

The Mechanics have had the Flags number as they have won six of the eight meetings this year. The Flags sit at the bottom of the Central Division while the Mechanics are fighting for one of the final two-playoff berths.

Right now the Mechanics are in a tie for the eighth and final playoff berth with the Richmond RiverDogs. The RiverDogs also play tonight against another team fighting for positioning, the Quad City Mallards.

It's simple for the Mechanics if they want to clinch a playoff berth, their first in franchise history, win both games and they'll be in regardless of what Richmond or Quad City do in this final weekend.
