McRae and Chiozza Named to All-NBA G League Teams
April 3, 2019 - NBA G League (G League) - Capital City Go-Go News Release
The NBA G League announced today that Jordan McRae and Chris Chiozza were each named to various All-NBA G League teams for their performances this season. McRae, a two-way player with the Washington Wizards, was named to the All-NBA G League First Team, while Chiozza, who recently signed a contract with the Houston Rockets, was named to the All-Rookie Team.
In 31 games with the Go-Go this season, Jordan McRae led the NBA G League in scoring at 30.4 points per game - becoming just the second qualified player to average over 30 points per game over the last 12 seasons in the league. McRae scored in double-figures in all 31 of his appearances, tallying a 54-point game, while also leading the league in 40-point (six) and 30-point (19) outings. McRae broke Antonio Blakeney's record for consecutive 30-point games with a 10-game streak from January 15 to March 2 - a stretch where he averaged 37.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
Chris Chiozza started in 43 games for the Go-Go, the only player to start in at least 40 games for the team in its inaugural season. Chiozza averaged 13.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.2 assists in his games with the Go-Go, leading the team in assists in 32 games. The Florida-product was signed to a 10-Day contract by the Houston Rockets on February 22, appearing in four games with their NBA G League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, where he racked up 53 assists in his stint. On the season, Chiozza tallied 10 games with at least 10 assists (seven double-doubles), finishing the season ranked third in assists per game.
