Allen Named to 2018-19 All NBA G League Defensive Team

NEW YORK, NY - April 3, 2019 - Two-Way Player Kadeem Allen of the Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, was named to the 2018-19 NBA G League All-Defensive Team as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.
In 39 games played, Allen, 6'3, 200, ranked top-20 in the G League in steals per game (1.5). His season-high stood at four steals which he registered at Long Island (12/20).
His 5.5 rebounds per game ranked top-30 but top-10 among guards who appeared in at least 39 contests. His 1.1 offensive rebounds slotted him 12th among guards who appeared in at least 39 games.
Allen collected 10-plus boards three times this season which included a career-high 14 against Greensboro (2/28). He hauled a season-high five on the offensive glass against Oklahoma City Blue (12/8).
His 59 steals with Westchester ranks 10th all-time in franchise history.
The Wilmington, NC native was also named to the All-Defensive team last season as a member of the Maine Red Claws. With Maine, Allen played in 34 games, and was among the league leaders in steals, averaging 2.2 steals per game.
