McMillon Named PCL Player of the Week

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Pacific Coast League today named Sacramento River Cats outfielder Billy McMillon its "Player of the Week" for his efforts during the week of May 19-25.

McMillon, 31, batted .452 (14-for-31) with 2 HR and 10 RBI in seven games from May 19-25. He had a .710 slugging percentage and .485 on-base percentage during the stretch. For the season, McMillon is hitting .340 (50-for-147) with 8 HR and 34 RBI in 36 games. Originally selected by the Florida Marlins in the eighth round of the 1993 Draft, this season marks his 11th in professional baseball. McMillon was signed by the Oakland A's as a free agent prior to this season.

The River Cats will play the final game of a four-game homestand against the Fresno Grizzlies tonight. Sacramento will begin an eight-game roadtrip (Oklahoma City, Tacoma) tomorrow at Oklahoma City.
