McCormick Scores 1st NHL Goal

Musketeers alumni, forward Max McCormick, scored his first NHL goal last night playing for the Ottawa Senators in a 3-1 loss to the Florida Panthers.

The 23 year old from De Pere, Wisconsin played for Sioux City during the 2010-2011 season under then head coach Luke Strand, where he played in 52 games, scoring 21 goals and 21 assists for 42 total points during the regular season. He added a goal and two assists during the Musketeers first round playoff loss to the Sioux Falls Stampede.

From Sioux City, McCormick went on to play 3 seasons at the Ohio State University from 2011-2014, where he saw action in 104 games for the Buckeyes scoring 36 goals and 52 assists for 88 total points.

He spent the 2014-15 season with the Ottawa Senators AHL team, the Binghamton Senators, playing in 62 games where he compiled 10 goals and 10 assists.

To date this season, he's played in 10 NHL games for the Ottawa Senators, making his NHL debut on October 24, 2015. He picked up his first assist on December 29, 2015 against the Boston Bruins, before scoring his first goal last night against the Florida Panthers.
