McArthur Strong In Cutters Win

James McArthur threw five shutout innings, helping the Crosscutters in their 6-2 win over Hudson Valley in the series finale.

McArthur's five innings were the most he has thrown in an outing as a professional, allowing three hits and walk, striking out one in the no decision.

Randy Alcantara got the win, allowing one run over two innings of work, walking three batters. Austin Ross worked the final two innings, allowing one run and striking out two.

Ben Pelletier drilled his team-leading 4th home run of the season, recording his team-leading 22nd RBI of the season. Edwin Rodriguez plated two runs, giving him 13 RBI on the year. Rafael Marchan and Edwin Rodriguez were the only two Cutters to record multi-hit games, each finishing with two knocks.

With the win, the Cutters avoided the three-game sweep at home. They improve to 9-13 at home this season.

Madison Stokes had his six-game hit streak come to an end, going 0-3 with two walks and two strikeouts.
