
Mayes, McIssac, Shcherbyna Among Six Chiefs Prospects in 2022 Mac's Tournament

Calgary, A.B. - Six Chiefs prospects recently finished an appearance at the 2022 Mac's U18 Hockey Tournament with a pair, Connor Frost and Josh Perreault, earning a victory in the A Division Finals. The tournament, held in Calgary, Alberta, featured 24 teams with eight pools of three teams each and awarded three different Division Final titles - A, B and C. The finals were played on Sunday, April 10.
South Alberta Hockey Academy
D Connor Frost, List Player: 6 GP (2-1-3)
F Josh Perreault, 8th Round 2020 WHL Bantam Draft: 6 GP (0-1-1)
The South Alberta Hockey Academy won the Mac's Tournament A Final with a 4-2 victory over the Vancouver NE Chiefs.
St. George's School
F Luka Shcherbyna, 2nd Round 2021 WHL Prospects Draft: 6 GP (5-1-6)
D Will McIsaac, 2nd Round 2021 WHL Prospects Draft: 6 GP (0-4-4)
St. George's advanced to the Mac's Tournament B Final and lost 8-4 to Edge School. Shcherbyna scored a goal in a 4-3 win over Fort Saskatchewan in their Division Final to advance to the B final, eventually losing and finishing in second place.
Yale Hockey Academy
D Nathan Mayes, 3rd Round 2021 WHL Prospects Draft: 3 GP (0-1-1)
Yale advanced to their division finals and dropped a 5-3 decision to the Calgary Northstars.
Calgary Flames
F Nolan Kelly, 7th Round 2020 WHL Bantam Draft: 4 GP (0-0-0)
The Flames lost 4-3 in overtime to the South Alberta Hockey Academy in the division finals.
