Lynx Notes

Head Coach and General Manager Cheryl Reeve marked her 400th career game as the head coach for the Minnesota Lynx. Reeve became the first coach to reach the mark with one WNBA franchise and joins an exclusive list of six coaches to reach the 400 career mark (Mike Thibault, Brian Agler, Bill Laimbeer, and Anne Donovan). Coach Reeve's overall record is now 268-132.

Aerial Powers led Minnesota with a season-high 25 points, connecting on 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. This is the first time this season that Powers had 20+ points and led the team in scoring. Powers also tied her career-high in assists with six in a Lynx uniform and added a season-high two blocks.

This was the 10th time in team history a player collected 25+ points/ 6+ rebounds/6+ assists (Lexie Brown, August 7, 2020 vs Indiana). Powers is only the third in franchise history to reach the feat with fewer than two turnovers, joining Seimone Augustus (0, June 21, 2012 vs New York) and Maya Moore (one, July 10, 2015 at Chicago).

Powers scored 16 of her 25 points in the first half shooting 6-of-14 from the field, topping her previous career-best first half performance of 15 points (August 27,2019 vs Los Angeles) and tying the most points scored in either half (16, August 18, 2019 vs Indiana).

Sylvia Fowles tallied her fifth double-double (184th career) and third 20+ points /10+ rebounds of the season, finishing with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Fowles shot 8-of-11 from the field, with 16 of her points coming in the paint.

In a team-high 35:25 of action, Jessica Shepard earned her fourth double-double of the season and finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Tonight was the 50th time in franchise history (second time this season) in which two players recorded double-doubles. Fowles and Shepard reached the feat for the first time in the 2022 season May 10 at Indiana.

In her third game with the Lynx, Moriah Jefferson finished the game with 14 points, a season-high seven assists, two steals and one block. In tonight's contest, Jefferson notched her 1000th career point with 41.6 left in the game. Jefferson surpassed her 2500th minute of WNBA action in the victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on May 17.

Team Notes

The Lynx outrebounded the Aces 36-30, grabbing 28 on the defensive end led by Shepard's career-high 12 defensive rebounds.

Minnesota's bench outscored Las Vegas 14-6, led by Nikolina Milić and Bridget Carleton who added four points each.

The Lynx tied a season-high 87 points in the contest and tied season-high scoring in first quarter, bringing in 25 points.

The Lynx wrap up their three-game road trip in Dallas taking on the Wings on Saturday, May 21. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m. CT and will broadcast on Bally Sports North Extra.
