UNCASVILLE, CONN. - Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell set a new franchise record for most points scored in a quarter with 19 in the fourth quarter, as the Connecticut Sun held on to defeat Indiana, 94-85, at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday night. Mitchell finished with 23 points on the night for her fourth game this season and 38th career game finishing with at least 20 points.
Indiana outscored Connecticut 19-16 in the first quarter and 34-31 in the final frame in the first of two consecutive matchups against the Sun. It was the lowest scoring first quarter for Connecticut and the highest scoring first quarter for a Connecticut opponent this season.

In the 300th career regular season game of her career, Fever guard Danielle Robinson finished with 10 points and a new season-high six assists. Robinson earned the starting nod again, which was her 217th career regular season game in the starting lineup.
Alanna Smith led the Fever reserves with nine points, while Tiffany Mitchell pulled down two rebounds in the first half to give her 500 rebounds in her career.
For the Sun, six players finished in double figures, led by 2021 WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones with 19 points and a game-high eight rebounds. Alyssa Thomas added 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the free throw line.
